The exciting turnaround in the Minnesota Football team's fortunes from 2007 to this season has brought a great deal of coverage the Gophers' way. Here at the Gopher Football Blog, we like to try to bring you items of interest that you may not have seen.

ESPN The Magazine writer Ted Bauer recently spoke with Head Football Coach Tim Brewster. His article, entitled "Six Things To Know About Improving A College Football Program" is currently on the magazine's website. Much of the article is simply quotes from Brewster on how he has turned things around this season, the people he has worked with and worked for, etc. But it is just another example of why Coach Brewster gets so much out of his team, why he and his staff recruit well, etc.

A co-worker recently stopped into my office after reading this article and mentioned that this is why kids want to play for Brew. Just by reading what he said, you can feel his passion for the sport and for Gopher football. Click the link above to read the article.

Last week, ESPN.com Big Ten Blogger Adam Rittenberg was in town to cover the Northwestern game. As part of his visit, I was able to take him on a tour of TCF Bank Stadium. Needless to say, he was impressed. I have yet to find anyone who has anything but positive comments after having been inside that stadium and seeing things like the locker room space, the views from the upper levels, the sightlines in the entire stadium, etc.

The same goes for Rittenberg, who blogged about the facility. He called the locker room "undoubtedly the stadium's best feature" and wrapped up his blog entry by saying the stadium should be a "major boost for the program."
