Series Notes
- Michigan now leads the all-time series 70-24-3 and has won 19 of the last 20 meetings
- The Wolverines never lost a game at the Metrodome in 12 games at the facility. Their last loss at Minnesota came in 1977.

Team Notes
- The Gophers were held without a touchdown for the first time since a 44-0 loss to Ohio State on Oct. 28, 2006.
- Minnesota’s 188 total yards were its lowest total since gaining 182 yards in the 2006 loss to Ohio State. The Gophers’ previous low this season was 268 yards against Ohio State.
- Minnesota’s seven first downs were its fewest since gaining seven first downs in a 34-3 loss to Ohio State on Nov. 2, 2002.
- Minnesota did not have a first down until 7:54 remained in the second quarter on an 11-yard reception by Jack Simmons. The Gophers went three-and-out on their first five possessions. It was Minnesota’s only first down of the half.
- The attendance of 55,040 was Minnesota’s largest of the season.

Individual Notes
- Michigan’s K.C. Lopata tied a school record with his five field goals. Mike Gillette kicked five against Minnesota on Nov. 5, 1988 and J.D. Carlson had five against Illinois on Nov. 10, 1990.
- Lopata is only the 19th player in modern Big Ten history to kick five field goals in a game. No player has kicked six in modern Big Ten history. The last Big Ten player to kick five field goals in a game was Joel Howells of Northwestern against Penn State on Sept. 24, 2005.
- The last time an opponent kicked five field goals against the Gophers was Kyle Schlicher of Iowa on Nov. 13, 2004.
- Minnesota kicker Joel Monroe’s two field goals put him in ninth place on the school’s all-time list with 21 for his four-year career
- Minnesota junior Tramaine Brock set a career high with 10 total tackles. He matched a career best with his seven solo stops.
- Gophers’ linebacker Lee Campbell had nine tackles, marking the fourth straight game he has had at least eight tackles.
- Gophers’ linebacker Simoni Lawrence tied a career high for the second straight week with seven solo tackles.
- Gophers’ junior receiver Eric Decker was held to one catch for minus-three yards, but still extended his streak to 24 straight games with a catch. Decker entered the game leading the Big Ten and ranking third in the country with 8.11 catches per game.
- Sophomore quarterback Adam Weber had a career low for total yards with 114 (105 passing, 9 rushing).
