One of Minnesota’s earliest commitments combines the size of a tight end and the speed of a wide receiver extremely fluid for his size has been clocked at 4.56 in the 40 Rated as the No. 2 pass-catching tight end in the country by recruiting analyst Max Emfinger Three-star prospect by both Rivals and Scout considered the No. 37 tight end in the country and the No. 90 overall player from Texas by Rivals rated as the nation’s No. 51 tight end by Scout consensus Texas Top 100 prospect by the Houston Chronicle, Dallas Morning News and the Waco Tribune

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Lamar High School three-year starter who helped the Redskins win 29 games helped lead Lamar to a 10-2 record, the district 20-5A title and a berth in the second round of the Class 5A Division 1 state playoffs as a senior in 2007 hauled in 11 receptions for 233 yards and five touchdowns earned second team all-state honors from Prep Ticket helped lead Lamar to a 9-3 record and the second round of the Class 5A Division 1 state playoffs as a junior in 2006 honorable mention All- District 20-5A caught 27 passes for 427 yards and three touchdowns helped Lamar post a 10-1 record as a sophomore in 2005 coached by Tom Nolen.

RECRUITING: Selected Minnesota over offers from Baylor, Houston, Oklahoma State.
