Talented two-sport star who opted to play football smooth athlete who starred at multiple positions as a prep two-star rated prospect by both Rivals and Scout Rivals’ No. 8 player in the state of Minnesota another in a long line of outstanding quarterbacks to come out of Cretin-Derham Hall, including Chris Weinke, Steve Walsh and Joe Mauer.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended local power Cretin-Derham Hall quarterbacked the Raiders to a 13-1 record and a berth in the Minnesota Section 4 Class 5A championship game as a senior in 2007 completed 164 of 269 passes for 3,020 yards and 23 touchdowns named to the Minnesota Vikings All-State Team earned second-team all-state honors from The Associated Press also helped lead CDH to a 10-1 mark and a runner-up finish in the Minnesota Section 4 Class 5A playoffs as a junior hauled in 11 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown as a wide receiver coached by Mike Scanlan also a standout basketball player for the Raiders, earning third-team all-metro honors and averaged 14.7 points per game as a junior.

RECRUITING: Selected to play football at Minnesota but could have explored several options on the hardwood received recruiting interest from both Wisconsin and Iowa early in the process.
