Minnesota Volleyball Splits Four-Game Match in Puerto Rico

The Minnesota volleyball team played its third match of its Puerto Rico spring trip, and split a four-game match with the Puerto Rican Superior League’s first-place team Caguas Criollas. The Golden Gophers split the four games with scores of 26-24, 22-25, 25-16, 24-26.

Minnesota is now 2-0-1 in its matches in Puerto Rico, including a pair of victories earlier in the tour against the University of Puerto Rico-Cayey and the Guay Navo club team.

Lauren Gibbemeyer (St. Paul, Minn.) led the way with 13 kills and hit .330, while Katie Vatterrodt had 10 kills in the match.
