Rain Cancels Day One at Buzz Classic

Day one of the Georgia Tech Buzz Classic has been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions following the heavy morning rain at the Twin Creeks Softball Complex in Woodstock, Ga. Officials had pushed everything back four and a half hours hoping that the fields would dry out in time, but they were still soaked and muddy forcing the cancellation of the first day
Saturday will follow the original schedule and then Friday's pool games will be played on Sunday. Bracket play has been cancelled and the tournament champion will be based on results from pool play and tie-breaker scenarios. Live stats for all Georgia Tech games will be available via Gametracker at www.ramblinwreck.com.
Below is Minnesota's altered schedule (all times Central):
Saturday (March 8)
10 a.m. - Minnesota vs. Elon
12 p.m. - Minnesota vs. Georgia Tech
Sunday (March 9)
8 a.m. - Minnesota vs. Western Michigan
10 a.m. - Minnesota vs. Mercer
