Gopher Recruit Schleper Named All-Area Player of the Year

Gopher recruit Anne Schleper was named the St. Cloud Times All-Area Girls' Hockey Player of the Year for the second straight year. Schleper finished her career with the St. Cloud Icebreakers this past winter with 26 goals and 19 assists. A member of the gold medal Under-18 U.S. Team, Schleper was also a top-five Ms. Hockey finalist. The 5-11 defenseman will graduate from St. Cloud Cathedral this spring and will join the Gophers for the 2008-09 campaign.
