Minnesota-Illinois Series Opener Postponed Due to Rain

The Minnesota-Illinois series opener scheduled for Friday, Apr. 18 has been postponed due to rain. Minnesota and Illinois will play a doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 19 at 1 p.m, and have tentatively scheduled Sunday's doubleheader at 11 a.m.

It is the second week in a row that the Golden Gophers have had the first game of a Big Ten series postponed. Last week, Minnesota's first game against Northwestern was pushed back and then postponed. Minnesota played doubleheaders on Sunday and Monday last week to complete all four games against the Wildcats.

Minnesota's four games against Illinois can be heard on gophersports.com and KLBB (1220 AM).
