Four Gopher Football Game Times Announced

The University of Minnesota has announced start times for four games on the Golden Gophers’ 2008 football schedule.
The season-opener vs. Northern Illinois, slated for August 30 at the Metrodome, will be begin at 6 p.m. and will air on the Big Ten Network. Minnesota’s Big Ten Conference matchup at Illinois will kick off at 11 a.m. on Oct. 11 and will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2 or the Big Ten Network. The network will be determined 6-12 days in advance of the game.
The Gophers’ Homecoming game will be played Nov. 1, when Northwestern visits the Metrodome. Minnesota’s Homecoming contest is slated for 11 a.m. and will air on ESPN, ESPN2 or the BTN, with the network to be announced 6-12 days prior to the game.
The Gophers are scheduled to battle with Iowa for Floyd of Rosedale on Nov. 22 at the Metrodome. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. and the contest will be broadcast on the BTN.
In addition, kickoff times and other details for the Gophers’ Sept. 6 game at Bowling Green and the Sept. 13 home game with Montana State are expected to be determined prior to July 1.
