Three Gophers Selected to Steele Preseason All-Big Ten Teams

Three University of Minnesota football players have been singled out for Preseason All-Big Ten honors by Phil Steele’s College Football Preview.

Golden Gopher senior wide receiver Eric Decker (Cold Spring, Minn.) earned second-team honors from Steele’s publication. Representing Minnesota on the third team was senior linebacker Steve Davis (St. Louis, Mo.). Junior offensive lineman D.J. Burris (Kenton, Ohio) was a preseason honorable mention selection by Steele.

The Gophers open their preseason camp on Aug. 2. The season-opener is slated for 6 p.m. Aug. 30, when Minnesota hosts Northern Illinois at the Metrodome.
