Minnesota Volleyball Team Ranked No. 12 in CSTV/AVCA Poll

The Minnesota volleyball team is ranked No. 12 in the CSTV/AVCA Top 25 poll, which was released on Monday, Sept. 22. The Golden Gophers received 829 points in this week’s poll.
Minnesota has been ranked among the top-12 teams the last four weeks. The Golden Gophers have also been in the top-25 for every week of September since the 2003 season.
The Golden Gophers are among six Big Ten teams that were ranked in this week’s poll. Penn State is No. 1, Wisconsin sits at No. 18, Purdue is No. 19, Illinois is ranked No. 20 and Michigan is No. 21. The Big Ten is tied with the Pac-10 for the most teams in the top 25 with six.
Minnesota will open up Big Ten play on Friday, Sept. 26 when it hosts Northwestern at 7 p.m. The Golden Gophers will host No. 18 Wisconsin on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. Both matches can be heard live on gophersports.com.
