Fans Encouraged to Bring Rain Gear, Not Umbrellas

With a chance of rain remaining in the forecast, University of Minnesota Athletics Department officials are encouraging fans to bring their rain gear and ponchos to Saturday's battle for Paul Bunyan's Axe between Minnesota and Wisconsin, but to leave the umbrellas at home.
Because umbrellas can block sightlines, present an injury hazard for fellow patrons and be used as projectiles, they are not permitted inside TCF Bank Stadium. Fans arriving at points of entry with umbrellas in their possession will be asked to leave them outside the facility.
