Extra Driving Caution Urged For Saturday

With Halloween trick-or-treating expected to be in full swing in the neighborhoods surrounding TCF Bank Stadium prior to Saturday's 7 p.m. kickoff between Michigan State and Minnesota, athletics department officials are asking fans to exercise extra caution while driving to the game.
"Game-day traffic around TCF Bank Stadium is always going to be busy, but this Saturday we believe it's going to be even more so thanks to all the Halloween festivities that will be taking place," associate athletics director Phil Esten said. "Additionally, many of our fans will be arriving at the stadium in lower lighting conditions around dusk. We want everyone to have a safe and fun evening, whether they are attending the game or not, so we are asking fans to stay alert behind the wheel and be extra careful during their commute to the game."
Following a string of 11 a.m. starts, Saturday's battle with the Spartans will be just the second night game at TCF Bank Stadium for the Gophers. The facility's inaugural game between Minnesota and Air Force on Sept. 12 kicked off at 6 p.m.
