Gophers Bowl-Eligible Again

Minnesota picked up its sixth victory of the season with its win over South Dakota State Saturday and is now eligible to earn a berth in a postseason bowl.

The victory over SDSU, improved the Golden Gophers to 6-5 on the season, with one game to play, and made Minnesota bowl-eligible for the ninth time in the last 11 years.

Minnesota will close out its 2009 regular season next Saturday at Iowa as the Gophers try to position themselves for the best possible bowl berth.
