Gophers Offer Fan Trip to Miami

Do you want to travel like the Gophers do? Experience what it feels like to fly "first class" with a Division I basketball program? You now have the chance as the Minnesota men's basketball program today announced that they are offering Gopher fans an opportunity to travel with the team when the Gophers head to Miami, Fla. to take on the Miami Hurricanes in the 2009 Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Wednesday, Dec. 2. The flight is scheduled to leave Minneapolis the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 1.
The trip, which costs $399 per person for single occupancy or $349 per person for double occupancy, includes round trip airfare on the team charter, hotel accommodations for one night in Miami, ground transportation, a game ticket, a casual reception and a Gopher basketball t-shirt.
The Gophers will also be offering a "flight only" option for $250 and a local package for Gopher fans in Florida and the surrounding area for $75.

The Gophers open the 2009-10 slate on Friday, Nov. 13 vs. Tennessee Tech at Williams Arena (7:00 p.m.). Minnesota's home schedule contains 17 games, including a matchup with the Penn State Nittany Lions to open the Big Ten schedule on Dec. 29. Ohio State, Michigan State, Northwestern, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Purdue and Iowa will also make an appearance at Williams Arena.
Single-game and season tickets are still available for the 2009-10 season. Fans interested in purchasing tickets may call the ticket office at 612-624-8080, or toll free at 1-800-U-GOPHER. Tickets may also be purchased through Minnesota's official athletics department website, www.gophersports.com.
