The Minnesota volleyball team (19-7, 10-4) is ranked No. 13 for the week of Nov. 9 in the AVCA poll. The Golden Gophers received 811 points this week in the poll.

Minnesota has been ranked for 28 consecutive weeks in the top 25 poll. The school record came from Oct. 20, 2003 to Sept. 4, 2006 when they were ranked in 40 straight polls. The Golden Gophers are one of only eight teams this year to have been ranked No. 13 or higher in every poll this year.

Last week, Minnesota defeated Indiana and Purdue in a pair of three-set matches at the Sports Pavilion. With the win, the Golden Gophers moved to 10-1 home matches and 7-1 in Big Ten home contests.

Minnesota is one of four Big Ten teams ranked in the top 25 this week. The Golden Gophers are joined by No. 1 Penn State, No. 5 Illinois and No. 14 Michigan.

Minnesota will be back in action when it travels to Iowa on Friday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. The Golden Gophers will also face Wisconsin on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. Both matches can be heard live in the Gold Zone.
