Softball Set to Make Four BTN Appearances

The Gophers will appear on the Big Ten Network at least four times this spring, network officials announced today. Minnesota, which kicks off its 2009 season this weekend at the Louisville Slugger Tournament in Tampa, will have a pair of April doubleheaders telecast by the network.
The team’s first television appearance of the season comes on April 8, when the Gophers play host to reigning Big Ten champion and 2008 NCAA Super Regional qualifier Northwestern at Jane Sage Cowles Stadium. The doubleheader will be aired live and is set for a 2:00 p.m. (CT) start.
Minnesota’s border rivalry with Wisconsin will play out in Madison this season, and will also air on BTN. The doubleheader between the two teams on April 22 begins at 4:00 p.m. (CT) and is also slated to air live.
