STUDENT NIGHT ON FEB 13
All U of M students will receive free admission, free pizza, and a shot at winning $10,000 towards tuition. Chuck A Puck, a game where you throw a foam puck towards a target at center ice, will determine the winners. Like last year, winning the tuition is not easy, but other prizes will also be given away. The other prizes include: A Nike Gopher hockey jersey, Gopher hooded sweatshirt, two tickets to the Gopher men's hockey game on Feb. 28 against UMD, four $25 Target gift cards and four $25 U of M Bookstore Gift Cards.
WCHA FIRST-ROUND TIMES ANNOUNCED
The Gophers have solidified either the No. 1 or No. 2 spot within the WCHA standings and will host one of the first-round playoffs, Feb. 27-March 1. The winner of the best two-out-of-three series will advance to the WCHA FINAL FACEOFF at Ridder Arena, March 7-8. The Gophers will host the Feb. 27 game at 6:07 p.m., followed by 4:07 p.m. turnarounds the next two days. If the playoffs began this weekend, Minnesota would host Bemidji State since the first-round is a battle of the No. 1 seed (Minnesota) and the No. 8 seed (BSU).
