3/22/2009 12:00:00 AM | Women's Basketball
Minnesota spent the day on Saturday in South Bend preparing for its NCAA First Round game versus Notre Dame. The Golden Gophers practiced for an hour at local Bethel College then headed to the Joyce Center for NCAA press conferences and open practices.
The Gophers enjoyed a nice team dinner that concluded with a dessert tribute and singing to Ashley Ellis-Milan for her 22nd birthday. The team returned to the hotel for a pep rally with the band, cheerleaders, Goldy Gopher and fans that have arrived in South Bend. With plenty of basketball on television, the players will relax the remainder of the evening.
