Minnesota No. 2 Seed in Big Ten Tournament

The Minnesota baseball team (35-15) will be the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Big Ten Tournament played at Huntington Park in Columbus, Ohio on May 20-23. With the No. 2 seed, the Golden Gophers will get a first round bye and play their first game on Thursday, May 21 at 2:35 p.m. (CT) against the highest seeded winner of the first day's matchups.
Minnesota will be making its Big Ten leading 25th appearance in the Big Ten Tournament, and its 24th under head coach John Anderson. It will also be the Golden Gophers 11th appearance in the last 12 years. Prior to missing the tournament last year, Minnesota had appeared in a Big Ten Tournament record seven straight championship games.
The Big Ten Tournament will get underway on Wednesday, May 20 when No. 4 seed Illinois faces No. 5 Michigan State at 11:05 a.m. (CT). In the second game of the tournament, No. 3 seeded Indiana will face No. 6 Purdue at 2:35 p.m. (CT). The losers of the two games will face off in an elimination game on Thursday, May 21 at 11:05 a.m. (CT), prior to the Golden Gophers' game against the highest seeded winner. Top-seeded Ohio State will face the lowest seeded winner of the first two games at 6:05 p.m. (CT) on May 21.

Tickets to the 11 separate games are $10 each, plus service charges, and available at www.ticketmaster.com. All single-game tickets are general admission.
