Start Times Announced for Purdue, Ohio State Games

The Big Ten Conference has announced kickoff times for two of Minnesota’s football games this fall.
The Golden Gophers’ Homecoming contest against Purdue will begin at 11 a.m. CT on Oct. 10. Minnesota’s game at Ohio State, slated for Oct. 24, will also feature an 11 a.m. CT start. That game will be the Buckeyes’ Homecoming contest. Television plans for these games have yet to be determined.
Two other start times for 2009 Gopher football games were announced previously. Minnesota’s home opener with Air Force on Sept. 12 will kick off at 6 p.m. CT and air on the Big Ten Network. The Oct. 31 matchup with Michigan State at TCF Bank Stadium is set to begin at 7 p.m. CT and air on the Big Ten Network.
In addition to Wednesday’s announcement, game time and a broadcast outlet for Minnesota’s Oct. 17 contest at Penn State is expected to be announced soon.
The Gophers open their 2009 campaign Sept. 5 at Syracuse.
