Senior captain Ashley Ellis-Milan held the first of three live video chats on Tuesday night. The St. Paul, Minn., native answered questions from Golden Gopher fans for 30 minutes, alongside sophomore forward and host Jackie Voigt. Plans are in the works to hold two additional video chats with the other two Gopher team captains, Brittany McCoy and Katie Ohm, in upcoming weeks.
Ellis-Milan is a fifth-year senior for the Gophers and is coming off her finest season a year ago. She earned team MVP honors and All-Big Ten Third Team accord. Ashley has started 94 consecutive games and has led the Gophers in rebounding in each of the last three seasons. She is just two points from hitting the 1,000 career points milestone as the 19th member of the elite scoring club.
A graduate of St. Paul Central High School, Ellis-Milan is preparing for a career in education. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education in May and will be pursuing a master’s degree this year.
