On Tuesday, we had a lighter day to help people recover from soreness in certain areas so that we wouldn't have any overuse injuries. During the first session, a few people spent practice doing rehab and strengthening exercises to help them overcome their sore areas. While they did that, the rest of us had a light practice of serving, passing, and working on specific little quirks like timing on the "S" hit, etc.

After the first session we had lunch, but many of us rushed through lunch because we were very excited about the event coming up. This day was scheduled to be our "Galloping Gopher Review" Day. The "Galloping Gopher Review" is a tradition for our team. All the newbies (freshman, coaches, and transfers) have to sing, dance, or perform something in front of the entire team. Since we had so many new people this year, it was an event to look forward to. We had a large variety of different performances. From a crazy dance by Taylor (Carico), to a Gopher Rap by Jasmine (Dittrich); a guitar performance from Bri (Haugen), to a "pop lock n drop it" move by Sam; all these different performances were very entertaining and amusing to watch.

After that, we were off into the second session where things were a little more serious, but also still slightly laid back for rehab purposes. We ended practice a little early after working on some more specific techniques we wanted to clean up. Followed by a great dinner from Bill and Frida (as always!), our day ended well and we were ready to take on the next day.
