Parking Change at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium
8/20/2009 12:00:00 AM | Soccer
St. Paul, Minn. - There will be a change from years past in the parking situation for University of Minnesota soccer matches at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. The changes will begin with the season opener on Aug. 21.
Formerly, soccer fans could park in the Spire lot, located across Cleveland Ave. to the east of the stadium. Please note, the Spire lot is no longer available to park.
The Gibbs lot located south of the stadium is still available, as are the Driving range and Golf Course main lots. The Driving Range and Golf Course lots are located west of Cleveland Ave., along Larpenteur Ave.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early and park in one of the three aforementioned available lots. However, should they become full, Lot S101 is available also. Lot S101 is located in the Northeast corner of Cleveland Ave. and Commonwealth Ave. and fans can park there for a small fee of $3.75. There will be a shuttle transporting fans from Lot S101 to Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium prior to the match.
These parking changes will remain in effect for the entire season, unless otherwise stated.
The 2009 soccer season begins at 6:00 pm on Aug. 21 when Minnesota hosts South Dakota State University.
