On August 19, our second week of preseason, we started out with another great morning seeing Bill and Frida. They prepared an awesome breakfast for everyone; french toast, waffles, oatmeal, fresh cut fruits, and any style of cooked eggs (All cooked with Zone products).

After Breakfast we kicked it off to practice. In the morning it was all about competing for pride. We had multipule drills that challenged our ball control to reach certain number of reps before the other groups. That is the most fun, because everybody is very competitive and it allows room for a great environment to be around. We finished the morning practice off with a bang playing three intense sets to 25.

Since we had been working so incredibly hard all preseason so far, our coaches decided to reward us by giving us the second session off to take us to the Mall of America. As soon as coach Mike told the team, smiles of excitment filled the faces of every player. We saw it as a chance to truly bond with one another outside of the court. Everybody had the opportunity to go on the rides and see underwater world as well as roam the mall.

It was a great evening off, we all enjoyed every bit of the mall. Of course we made it back in time for another great meal made by the best team cooks Bill and Frida. They made Chicken Parmesan as the main course meal, and had a salad bar with steamed vegetables with cooked potatoes to top off the amazing meal.

All in all it was another great day being a Minnesota Gopher and we all can't wait to get back in the gym and start all over again experiencing another exciting day together!
