Gopher Gameday Preview Wrap-up

Junior quarterback Adam Weber finished the game 14-for-18 with a pair of touchdown passes. Senior receiver Eric Decker caught both touchdown passes, and had five receptions for 101 yards. Sophomore Duane Bennett also led the rushing attack with 65 yards on seven carries, while DeLeon Eskridge scored the only rushing touchdown of the game, and ran for 26 yards on nine carries.

Defensively, the Gophers were led by freshman Michael Carter who had two interceptions. Lee Campbell, Keanon Cooper and Brent Singleton each tied with a game-high six tackles.

3:43 p.m. - Update

We're at halftime of the Gopher GameDay Preview. The scrimmage is being played with four, 12-minute quarters and a running clock.

The first offensive play of the scrimmage saw quarterback Adam Weber hook up with wide receiver Eric Decker for a 53-yard touchdown pass. The duo hooked up again later in the first quarter on a 26-yard scoring strike. Late in the second quarter, Eric Ellestad kicked a 25-yard field goal.

12:30 p.m.
The 2009 Golden Gophers just completed the Victory Walk and were welcomed into their new home by thousands of loyal maroon and Gold fans lining the way. 

Head coach Tim Brewester led the way as his team made the short walk from the McNamara Alumni Center into TCF Bank Stadium.  Later today, at 3:00 p.m., the Golden Gophers will entertain the fans with an intrasquad scrimmage. Click the video below to see coverage of the Victory Walk.
