Camp Blog: Alumni Offer; Live Chat Friday

A few days ago in this space, I trumpeted MINNESOTA magazine’s fall issue, which features Gopher Football and TCF Bank Stadium. I’ve had a number of requests as to how to procure a copy of the magazine.
The Alumni Association is going to do you one better -- no, two better -- they’re going to give you a Tim Brewster-autographed copy of the magazine and a fleece stadium blanket if you purchase a membership. If you’re not a member of the Alumni Association, this is a great offer that is exclusively for readers of the Gopher Camp Blog.
Here’s the information, directly from the Alumni Association:
"The Alumni Association’s fall MINNESOTA magazine issue features the return of Gopher Football to campus and the new TCF Bank Stadium. This popular issue allows you to see the stadium in pictures, read about great moments in Gopher football history, find out what's in store on game day, and get a preview of the Ultimate Homecoming. The Alumni Association is partnering with us to offer a copy of the collectible football issue autographed by Coach Brewster plus a fleece stadium blanket to the first 100 who purchase a membership at www.MinnesotaAlumni.org/FootballIssue."
In other news, we had great response to the live on-line chat we held with Eric Decker a while back. With preseason camp wrapping up with a Friday morning practice, we’ve secured another Gopher co-captain to chat with Gopher Nation here at GopherSports.com.
Senior defensive tackle Garrett Brown will join us at 2 p.m. Friday. (Update - Please note the time change.) Feel free to email your questions ahead of time, or join us online tomorrow afternoon.
Also, don’t forget the Gopher Nation Women’s Clinic, which is slated for Friday evening at TCF Bank Stadium.
The team is scheduled for a late afternoon workout today at the Gibson-Nagurski Football Complex.
We’re now less than 10 days away from kickoff Sept. 5 in Syracuse, N.Y.
