The Minnesota women's soccer team closes out the regular season this Friday on the road against Indiana. The Gophers/Hoosiers match up is scheduled for a 6 p.m. CST opening kick.

Last Time Out
Minnesota got back in the win column last Friday with a much needed 2-1 win at Northwestern for the team's first road win since Sept. 16 at South Carolina. The victory snapped a four-game winless skid for Minnesota thanks to goals from junior forward Tamara Strahota and redshirt freshman forward Steph Brandt. Senior forward Katie Bethke tallied her conference-leading 11th assist against the Wildcats while seniors Kylie Kallman and Jennie Clark eached recorded assists as well. Northwestern cut the lead to one goal in the 80th minute for the only blemish on sophomore goalkeeper Cat Parkhill's night. Parkhill finished the game with three saves.

The Series
Friday's game marks the 21st meeting all-time between the Gophers and the Hooisers. Minnesota holds a 11-7-2 record against its conference opponent and has taken two-straight 1-0 games from Indiana. But the Hoosiers have a 6-3-0 record against Minnesota at home including the last four meetings in Bloomington.

Next Up
With Indiana closing out the Gophers' regular season, Minnesota will have to wait until Monday to find out if the team will be selected as an at-large bid for this year's NCAA tournament. The NCAA selection show will be broadcast next Monday on ESPNU at 3:30 p.m. CST.

Scouting the Hoosiers
Indiana has struggled in Big Ten play with just two wins in 2010, but the Hoosiers are coming off a 1-0 win over No. 23 and then Big Ten frontrunner Ohio State last Sunday thanks to a goal from Jocelyn Moses. It was Moses' first-goal of the year, and the senior's first-career game winner. The Hoosiers are led by junior forward Carly Samp, who is tied for fifth in the Big Ten with 19 points and tied for sixth in goals with eight on the season.
