Illinois Head Coach Jolette Law

On the game:

"This is definitely a much-needed win for us. I think it was for both clubs, but we came out in the second half and displayed our focus and determination, stuck to the game plan and found a way to get a win."

On the difficulty of winning on the road in the Big Ten:

"I just think it's the power of our conference. You have to bring your A-game every day. We've lost two home games as well. It's not like once-upon-a-time where being at home is a guaranteed win. It's not that way in this conference. The conference is getting stronger. Teams are getting stronger. You've just got to stay focused."

Minnesota Head Coach Pam Borton

On what happened in the second half:

"It felt like a typhoon. I thought we went in with the momentum. We hit a couple big threes to go into halftime. I didn't think we had the momentum the entire first half, and I felt like we didn't start the game very well. The talk at halftime was that we need to come out and establish the first four or five minutes and come out with more passion and more energy and just take the game over in the first four or five minutes. I think they went on a 19-0 run during that time. They scored 10 or 11 points in the first 1:50. It was missed lay-ups and a lot of missed shots in the lane. Turnovers turned into a lay-up drill for them."

On losing their second game at Williams Arena this season:

"It's really tough. We want to protect our house and have a little more pride playing here at home. Especially on alumnae day when we're playing for everybody that played before us and everyone that will play after us. It is tough. It puts a lot more pressure on winning games on the road. We lost two games at home last year, and we have to get ourselves going in the other direction."

Senior Forward/Center Ashley Ellis-Milan

On whether or not the loss at Ohio State affected today's game:

"No. I don't think so. I think that we let the Ohio State game go. I thought we had a good mindset in warm-up and in shootaround this morning. I feel like we got the momentum going into halftime. I thought we'd come out and carry it over, but we didn't."

Senior Guard Katie Ohm

On what it will take for the team to get out of this losing streak:

"I think a lot of it's mental. We work hard every day. We know that we have the physical capabilities to do it. We just need to get some fire in us and get going. It's just frustrating, what we did tonight."
