Of the 120 NCAA FBS football programs in the United States, Minnesota was among 2009's leaders in attendance when it comes to capacity.

Each of Minnesota's seven home games during 2009 were sell-outs. The average attendance figure at TCF Bank Stadium was 50,805 last season, meaning the Gophers were one of just 17 schools to fill their stadium to or above capacity. Here's a look at that report.

By the NCAA's math, Minnesota ranked 11th in the nation in capacity and reached 101.61 percent of capacity. That number ranked only behind Ohio State (102.87 percent) and Michigan (102.57 percent) in the Big Ten.

Twenty-five NCAA FBS schools had a capacity of 99 percent or above. The Big Ten led the way in that top 25, with seven of its members coming in at 99 percent of capacity or better. The Southeastern Conference was No. 2 with six, while the Big 12 had three.

Minnesota's ranking of No. 11 in its first season at TCF Bank Stadium compares with a No. 73 ranking in 2008, the Gophers' final season at the Metrodome.
