OVERVIEW: Versatile wide receiver • good size and speed at the wide receiver position • capable of putting up big numbers with his pass-catching ability • can make the tough catch• smart football player • shifty runner with the ball in his hands • very good downfield blocker as a wide receiver • has been timed at 4.5 in the 40-yard dash.
HIGH SCHOOL: Currently attends La Marque High School • earned first-team All District 4A-24 honors • earned first-team all-district honors as both a wide receiver and as a punter • caught 35 balls for 375 yards and three touchdowns as a senior in 2009 • averaged more than 40 yards per punt last season • turned in a six-reception, 115-yard performance vs. North Shore in 2009 • caught 21 passes for 290 yards and two scores as a junior in 2008 • coached by Darrell Jordan.
RECRUITING: Selected Minnesota over interest from Illinois, Maryland, Navy, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue and Rice.
PERSONAL: Logan Hutton was born May 12, 1992 • son of Lee and Dianne Hutton • brother of former Gopher Lee Hutton, who is now a Minneapolis attorney.
