OVERVIEW: Ranked as the No. 85 athlete in the nation by Rivals.com • listed as the No. 14 player in the Missouri by Rivals • rated as the No. 84 wide receiver in the nation by Scout.com • ranked as the No. 91 athlete in the country by ESPN and Scouts Inc. • earned three-star rankings from both Rivals and Scout • has quickness, ball skills and athleticism to play many positions • good vision and cutting ability as a running back • follows blockers well and shows a good burst in the open field • elusive and has the ability to make tacklers miss • gifted as a receiver • can make the tough catch and will go into traffic for the ball • solid body control • versatile enough to play on either side of the ball • could contribute as a return specialist as well • has been clocked at 4.49 in the 40-yard dash.
HIGH SCHOOL: Currently attends Trinity Catholic High School • helped lead his team to an 8-4 record in 2009 • team advanced to second round of the state playoffs • Missouri Football Coaches Association all-state first team selection as a return specialist and second team as an athlete • named first-team all-state as a receiver by the Associated Press • rushed for a team-high 701 yards on 77 carries with 11 touchdowns last season • added 31 receptions for 398 yards and three scores in 2009 • rushed for 820 yards and 10 TDs, with 27 receptions for 391 yards as a junior • rushed for 1,398 yards and 21 touchdowns during his sophomore campaign • coached by Leon Hite.
RECRUITING: Selected Minnesota over offers from Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, UCLA and Wisconsin.
PERSONAL: Marquise Hill was born April 29, 1991 • son of Rosemary Caldwell and Marvin Hill.
