Minnesota Spring Schedule Set

The Minnesota volleyball team has set its 2010 spring schedule. The Golden Gophers will be on the road for two weekends, and will host two weekends at the Sports Pavilion.
Minnesota begins the season when it heads to Arizona State where it face the Sun Devils and the University of Calgary on Saturday, Mar. 20.
The Golden Gophers will then head to Iowa State where they will face Iowa State, Kansas State, North Dakota State and Northern Iowa on Saturday, Mar. 27.
Minnesota will return to the Sports Pavilion to host Marquette, North Dakota State and 2009 National Finalist Texas on Saturday, Apr. 10. The Golden Gophers will face Texas at 7 p.m. at the Sports Pavilion in a rematch of the 2009 National Semifinal match the two teams played in Tampa.
The Golden Gophers will wrap up their spring season with a match against 2009 NCAA Regional particpant Nebraska on Saturday, Apr. 24 at 4 p.m.
Minnesota will have nine letterwinners who played for the 2009 National Semifinal squad. The Golden Gophers will also have 2009 Gatorade National High School Player of the Year Ashley Wittman who enrolled in school early to play with the team during the spring season.
