Gopher Spring Game Today

The Minnesota football program will wrap up its 2010 spring drills this afternoon, with the annual spring game. The spring game, which will be played for the first time in TCF Bank Stadium, is scheduled to get underway at 1:30 p.m. and admission is free for all fans.

Fans are encouraged join the Minnesota marching band and kick off the day's festivities by participating in the Gophers' Victory Walk across Oak Street at 11:30 a.m. Gates A, C and E will then open at noon to allow fans into the stadium.

Parking for the spring game will be available for $10 in the Maroon, Gold, Minnesota, Ski-U-Mah lots as well as Lot 33 and 37, the Fourth Street, University Avenue, Washington Avenue and Oak Street Ramps from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. All parking will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

The 2010 spring game with consist of four 12-minute (running time) quarters, plus a 15-minute halftime. The coaching staff and players will be available on the field following the game for a 30-minute fan autograph session.

In addition to the free admission, free mini footballs, 2010 Gopher football schedule magnates and a roster card with space for autographs will be available for fans at all gates on the way into TCF Bank Stadium.

University of Minnesota students planning to attend the spring game should also stop by the Gopher Sports Marketing table in the concourse at Section 125 with their student IDs to receive a free hot dog and chips.

Fans unable to make it to TCF Bank Stadium for the 2010 spring game can still watch a live video webcast of the game in the Gold Zone on gophersports.com with Mike Grimm and Corbu Stathes calling all the action.
