Catching Up with Eric Decker

Minnesota alum and current Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker was on campus this week, working out with the likes of Larry Fitzgerald and Cris Carter at Fitzgerald's offseason training camp.

Decker, still rehabbing a leg injury that prematurely ended his college career, has been cautiously preparing for his first season in the NFL after setting numerous records with Minnesota. The Cold Spring, Minn. native left college as Minnesota's career record-holder for receptions (227) and receiving yards (3,119) while his 24 career touchdown receptions are third most behind Ron Johnson and Ernie Wheelwright. Decker earned his second-consecutive first-team All-Big Ten selection in 2009 despite appearing in just eight games.

Even with the season-ending injury, the Denver Broncos selected Decker with the 87th overall pick (third round in this year's draft. The injury forced Decker to sit out of team drills at the Broncos' OTAs and minicamp, but he's finally back to football this week at Fitzgerald's camp before reporting to Denver's camp on July 26.
