NACGC/W Scholastic All-America Awards Announced

Kendra Elm, a junior in 2010, earned her third NACGC/W Scholastic All-America award after also earning the honor in her freshman and sophomore seasons. Elm is majoring in biomedical engineering and plans to attend medical school following her senior year as an undergraduate. She is an all around competitor for the Gophers, and one of the team’s top scorers on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise.
Lucy Ennis, Briana Jones, and Kylie Smith, all sophomores in 2010, earned NACGC/W Scholastic All-America honors for the second consecutive year. Ennis is majoring in health and wellness, Jones is a physiology major, and Smith is majoring in marketing and finance. Ennis competed in all four events for Minnesota last season. She anchored the vault lineup and was a top scorer for the team on vault. Jones was a regular in the lineup on beam and floor in 2010. Smith competed on vault in five meets last season.
Freshman Jenny Weber earned her first NACGC/W Scholastic All-America honor. She earned a perfect 4.0 GPA for the fall semester. Weber is a pre-veterinary major.
Gymnasts must have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the 2009-10 academic year to be eligible for NACGC/W Scholastic All-America honors.
