The Minnesota volleyball program will host the second annual Volleyball 101 event on Tuesday, Aug. 24 at the Sports Pavilion.
Doors will open to the public at 6:30 p.m. The team will also be warming up on the court at that time. The Volleyball 101 Clinic, which will be run by Head Coach Mike Hebert and his coaching staff, will begin at 7 p.m. There will be several contests following the clinic. Minnesota will host a Maroon and Gold Scrimmage at 8 p.m. Following the scrimmage, the Golden Gopher team will sign autographs for the fans.
Minnesota returns nine letterwinners from last year's Final Four team, including First-Team All-American middle blocker Lauren Gibbemeyer, Final Four All-Tournament honoree Hailey Cowles and NCAA Regional Tournament MVP Tabitha Love. The Golden Gophers also welcome the No. 6 recruiting class in the nation.
