Minnesota to Have Two Matches on ESPN2

The Minnesota volleyball team will have two matches on ESPN2 this season. With those two matches, the Golden Gophers are currently scheduled to play eight televised contests during the 2010 campaign.

Minnesota will face three-time defending national champion Penn State in its first appearance on ESPN2 on Friday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. (CT). The match will be broadcast on tape-delayed basis on ESPN2 on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 12 p.m. (CT). The Golden Gophers will also host Illinois on Friday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. (CT). That match will also be broadcast on tape-delayed basis on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 12 p.m. (CT).

The Golden Gophers' matches at Iowa (Oct. 6), at Northwestern (Oct. 10), at Ohio State (Oct. 16), against Iowa (Oct. 27), at Illinois (Nov. 20) and against Penn State (Nov. 27) will also be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network. Minnesota's eight televised matches are the most of any team in the Big Ten.
