GopherSports.com will provide a daily blog from the beginning of preseason traiing camp until the week of the season-opener at Middle Tennessee State, set for Sept. 2. The Golden Gophers football team held its annual media day on Thursday afternoon at TCF Bank Stadium.
Along with giving interviews for numerous local media outlets in attendance, the team also posed for individual, group and team photos. But perhaps the most entertaining part of media day was the celebration dances the University of Minnesota marketing staff filmed for use during home games this season. You'll have to wait to see all of them but there's a sneak peak in today's video.
While seeing half the team dance to "Jump on it" was good, the offensive line's imitation of this famous scoring celebration takes the cake.
Today's media day served as a relaxed evening practice for the Gophers, who were in full pads Thursday morning for practice and return for another two-a-day on Friday.
