Minnesota attempts to win back-to-back Big Ten games when it plays host to first-place Michigan this afternoon. The game tips off at 2:00 p.m. (CST) in Williams Arena.
The Gophers (9-12, 1-7 Big Ten) are coming off a 63-58 win versus Northwestern on Thursday evening, while the Wolverines (13-7, 6-2 Big Ten) completed their season sweep of Ohio State with a 69-66 win in Columbus. Minnesota is 6-1 versus Michigan at The Barn and 11-3 overall during Pam Borton's tenure. Last year, though, Michigan swept the series.
Today's game will be streamed live on www.BigTenNetwork.com, with Matt Nelson calling the play-by-play, Quincy Lewis adding color commentary, and Ron Miller providing sideline reports. It also will be carried via radio on KBEM (88.5 FM) and other selected stations on the Gopher Radio Network, with Corbu Stathes calling the play-by-play and Lynnette Sjoquist adding color analysis.
Today is also Alumni Day, with the Molly Tadich Alumni Game set to take place from 11:00 a.m. to Noon, followed by a series of skills competitions the former Gopher players will be taking part in. We'll attempt to bring you periodic updates of that action, as well.
