Gophers Host Parents' Day Open on Saturday

The Minnesota women’s track & field team will host the Parents’ Day Open on Saturday, Feb.19, at the University Fieldhouse. Action gets underway at 10 a.m. with the shot put, high jump and pole vault competitions. Action on the track kicks off at 10:15 a.m. with the distance medley relay.
The Golden Gophers will use the meet as a final tune-up for next week’s Big Ten Indoor Championships. Several of Minnesota’s top track performers will skip the Parents’ Day Open to prepare of the Conference meet. Most of Minnesota’s top field event performers, however, are entered in the field.
The Gophers will also recognize its 13 seniors in a ceremony at approximately 12:15 p.m.
