Plasencia Named Midwest Region Coach of the Year

Minnesota head coach Steve Plasencia was named the U.S. Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Midwest Region Men’s Head Coach of the Year after guiding the Golden Gophers to a third-consecutive Big Ten Conference indoor title. Plasencia was also honored as the Big Ten Indoor Coach of the Year.

The honorees will be recognized at this weekend’s NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in College Station, Texas.
