The University of Minnesota football team and TCF Bank Stadium played host to the Gopher Football Youth Clinic Saturday afternoon. After postponing the event twice, due to poor weather, the event was held despite Saturday's rain.

Much of the event was held indoors at TCF Bank Stadium. The players and coaches gave tours to and signed autographs for more than 500 children and a total of nearly 1,000 Gopher fans. Youth in attendance were given a free Big Ten football poster, Goldy Gopher and Block M tattoos and mini-footballs.

"It's all about the kids," head coach Jerry Kill said. "It gives them an opportunity to be in this beautiful stadium and be around our players. That's the most important thing at the end of the day."

Despite the poor weather, a few hardy souls braved the conditions on the TCF Bank Stadium playing surface. Despite the weather and most people staying inside, the event was well-received by fans, players and coaches alike.
