Former Gophers compete for Team USA Minnesota

Former Gophers' Gabriele Anderson and Heather (Dorniden) Kampf both ran personal bests in the 1,500-meter at the Citta de Padova meet in Italy over the weekend. Anderson ran a 4:10.15 to finish fourth overall, while Kampf finsiehd in 4:12.09 to take eighth place.
Both have been running races overseas this summer in Europe and Italy for Team USA Minnesota. Kampf has won two 800-meter races in Europe during her outdoor track campaign, including a first place finish at the Kortrijk Meeting in Belgium on July 9 with a time of 2:03.48, and first place in a meet in Nuoro, Italy, on July 13 with a time of 2:01.96.
Anderson posted a time of 4:14.54 for third place at the Kortrijk Meeting on July 9, and 4:14.57 for seventh overall at the Liege, Belgium and International Athletics Meeting on July 13.
