University of Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill was released from a local hospital this morning after suffering a seizure reoccurrence following the Gophers' home game against Northwestern on Saturday, Oct. 13.

"Coach Kill was discharged from the hospital this morning," said team physician Dr. Pat Smith. "He was evaluated yesterday and this morning and all tests confirm that he remains in excellent health. His only concern is his team and staff, and he is excited to resume his normal coaching duties as Minnesota prepares for Wisconsin this week. He plans to be back in the office tomorrow."

The seizure occurred in Kill's private locker room at TCF Bank Stadium after he had completed his post-game press conference. He was immediately attended to by team medical personnel and was then transported by ambulance to a hospital as a precaution.

University officials said this would be the only update on Kill's status today.
