How would you like to win a trip to Las Vegas to watch the Gopher football team take on UNLV in the 2012 season opener?
Now you can.
All you have to do is enter our contest, which is sponsored by Park Nicollet, and submit a 30-second video telling (or showing!) us how you are getting ready for Las Vegas and the 2012 Gopher football season.
One fan will win airfare and hotel accommodations for two to Las Vegas from August 28-31, 2012. In addition, the winner will receive two tickets to the Minnesota vs. UNLV football game on Thursday, August 30, and a Gopher prize pack featuring Gopher gear and other great items.
The winner will also have a chance to hit the world-famous Las Vegas Strip with Goldy Gopher, and have their exploits chronicled in a video for GopherSports.com and for Minnesota's official YouTube channel.
Although only one person will win the grand prize, all other entrants will receive two free tickets to a 2012 non-conference Gopher home football game.
Video entries can be simple or more advanced. You can submit an entry taken using your smart phone or you can get a bit more creative and make a submission like Goldy did (view Goldy's entry here). The most important thing is that your video needs to convince us and fellow Gopher fans why you deserve to go to Las Vegas and cheer on the Gophers.
The contest is now open and entries will be accepted until 5 p.m. CDT on July 31, 2012. Only persons residing in the United States who are at least 18 years of age can enter. Official rules can be read here.
