Gophers Set to be Televised Five Times During Regular Season

The University of Minnesota volleyball program will be televised five times throughout the course of the 2012 season, announced today by the Big Ten Conference office. Minnesota will be featured four times on the Big Ten Network along with one ESPN2 match this upcoming season.
Minnesota's first live BTN contest will take place in the conference opener at Illinois, Sept. 21. The Gophers will face the 2011 NCAA runner-up Illini at 7 p.m. CT. Following the road contest, two home matches will be televised, with the first on Friday, Sept, 28 against Ohio State (7 p.m. CT). The Minnesota/Michigan, match on Oct. 3, 7 p.m., will also be televised on BTN.
The Golden Gophers and the Nebraska Cornhuskers will be televised live on ESPN2, Sunday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. in Lincoln, Neb. Minnesota's final BTN game will be on the road at Penn State, Friday, Nov. 2. (8 p.m. ET). BTN.com schedule will be announced at a later date.

Minnesota starts the 2012 campaign at the James Madison Tournament in Harrisonburg, Va. The Golden Gophers start the season against James Madison and Appalachian State on Aug. 25th. Minnesota then hosts the Diet Coke Classic, August 31-Sept. 1 at the Sports Pavilion.
