University of Minnesota senior-to-be Rodney Williams heads into the upcoming season after establishing career-highs in all statistical categories as a junior. Following the season-ending injury to Trevor Mbakwe, Williams led the team in scoring (12.2 ppg), rebounding (5.6 rpg), blocked shots (1.4 bpg) & steals (1.3 spg) from the power forward position. He also led the Gophers in scoring (19.2), rebounding (5.6) and blocks (1.0) during the run to the NIT Final at Madison Square Garden.

Williams will enter his senior campaign needing 188 points to reach the 1,000-point plateau, 129 rebounds to reach 500 and three blocks to reach 100.

Mike Grimm, the voice of the Minnesota Golden Gophers, recently sat down with Williams to chat about the upcoming season and to reflect a little on last year.
