• A live blog and live stats will be available on Gophersports.com, while live updates can also be found on the Gophers' official twitter page - @GophersWBB.
• Minnesota defeated Winona State, 82-44, in its first exhibition game on Oct. 29. Amanda Zahui B. led the Gophers to the 38-point win by finishing with 28 points, 19 rebounds and four blocks. Rachel Banham added 13 points, six assists and three steals, while Jackie Johnson had 12 points and six boards.
• The Golden Gophers officially open the 2013-14 season on the road at Northern Iowa on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 12:00 p.m., before returning to Williams Arena for their home opener vs. Charlotte on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 7:00 p.m.
• Minnesota returns four of its five starters from last season - Rachel Banham, Shayne Mullaney, Sari Noga and Micaella Riche. The quartet accounted for 1522 of the Gophers' 2221 points scored, which was nearly 70 percent of the team's offensive production.
• The Gophers boasted a .439 field goal percentage last season, which not only led the Big Ten, but also ranked among the top 20 nationally.
• With 1,243 career points, junior guard Rachel Banham needs 39 points to surpass Ashley Ellis-Milan for the No. 13 spot on the career chart. Ellis-Milan concluded her career with 1,281 points during 2006-10.
• Banham is on the "watch list" for The Wade Award, the John R. Wooden Award Preseason Women's Top 30 and was recently named to the Preseason All-Big Ten First Team by both coaches and media. Last season, the guard averaged 20.7 points per game and was a First Team All-Big Ten selection and a WBCA Honorable Mention All-American.
• Over 70 percent of senior guard Sari Noga's scoring came from beyond the arc last season, as 162 of her 223 total points were of the three-point variety.
• In 2012-13, senior forward Micaëlla Riché more than doubled her point total from her sophomore season and improved her scoring average by 7.4 points per game. She also increased her rebounding average by 3.5 boards per game.
