Richard Pitino and the Gopher men's basketball team have now held five summer practices so far in 2013 -- per NCAA rules, teams are allowed to practice two hours per week during the summer.
Pitino, who was hired on April 3 to become the 17th head coach in Minnesota history, has brought in several new players to replenish a roster that lost several pieces from 2012-13. Among the new players at Tuesday's practice were transfers Malik Smith and Joey King, as well as incoming freshman Daquein McNeil.
Watch the video above for a short update from Coach Pitino on the progress of his new-look team through four summer practices, and check later this week on GopherSports.com for more summer updates!
